ACADEMY BACK IN ACTION

The Northants Knights Academy teams returned to training today at Manor School and Sports College.

After the regular venue, Wellingborough Old Grammarians, became waterlogged yesterday the coaching staff scrambled together to find a new place to welcome the players back.

With a great turn out and dedicated coaching staff the Knights Academy boasts one of the best young teams in the country.

Head Coach of the u-19 team Jack O’Beirne said “I haven’t seen this kind of excitement around the program before. We have a great young roster that are building towards something really special. This team hasn’t lost in 2 years and they don’t plan on doing it this season”.

The Academy now look ahead to next week where they will join the Knights adult team (for ages 19+) at Montsaye Community Sports Centre, Rothwell, NN14 6JA. Training starts at 10:30 am and will finish at 1:30 pm for anyone who wants to come along and get involved.

Knights recruit players all year round from varying playing experience. From complete rookie to seasoned vet - there is a home for everybody at the Knights.
