Two youngsters called up to Great Britain Lions squad
Two Academy players from the Northants Knights have been called up to the Great Britain Lions squad to face Denmark.
Will Donaldson and Will Wright are the two youngsters who will be heading out to the Rundforbi Stadion to take on Denmark on 28 May.
“We are always very proud when our players are recognised with international call ups," Knights chairman Jack O'Beirne said.
"Both players have worked extremely hard to reach this position and I have no doubt they are inspiring future generations of Knights players.
"Good luck to both players from everyone at the Knights organisation!”
Donaldson played offensive line for the Knights during our unbeaten season, and now plays uni ball for Hertfordshire Hurricanes.
Wright, meanwhile, is a Tight End and was also part of the team last year, and still represents the Knights.
Currently part of the SGS Filton Pride Uni team, Wright had four catches in the Knights' opening gameday against the Black Country Vipers.
