Northants Knights expand age groups
The Northants Knights are pleased to announce the extension of the club by introducing a Youth U16s age group.
The new age group is aimed at 13 to 15-year-olds in the Northamptonshire area, and welcomes anyone with an interest in American Football, with no previous experience necessary.
Reflecting on the project, Club Chairman Jack O’Beirne said: “This is something we have been working on behind the scenes for the last six months.
“It is my goal to be able to offer American Football to all age groups in the local area.
“I encourage any player who is interested to get in touch with us on our website, by email, or on social media.”
Former Senior team HC, Matt Godfrey, who led the adult outfit to an impressive associate campaign will take over as Head Coach for the proposed youth team.
All protective equipment including shoulder pads and helmet will be supplied to players so the initial start-up cost to get involved in the sport is removed, opening the door to many players who otherwise would not be able to participate.
