Northants Knights finished their first season in the BAFA National League Central East as runners-up after a narrow 16-7 defeat to Nottingham Caesars in the final game.

Despite falling to a loss, the Knights can hold their head high after three competitive performances this season against the Caesars, who are an established Division 1.

That result means the Knights finished second behind the Caesars, with a 5-3 record, which included three shutouts and some stand-out performances.

As an organisation we want to thank everyone who got behind us this season.

Firstly the supporters, you have been great. Our home games have had the sideline packed on every occasion and we can’t thank you enough.

And finally to the coaches, players and all the people in the background - without you guys this team wouldn’t exist and it’s been a pleasure to have you all represent the Knights. We can’t wait to see you all back next season and then some. Let’s Go Knights!
