The head coach's view: Hereford Stampede and Swindon Storm

Northants Knights Head Coach Wayne Gumbs has shared his thoughts following his side’s recent 26-20 win over Hereford Stampede, and the upcoming game against Swindon Storm.

"Going into the second game against Hereford Stampede full of confidence, we were soon made to realise Hereford came to play.

"The size of their squad had no impact on their ability to perform and keep us on our toes. It soon made us realise we need to up our game across the board if we are to compete for post-season games.

"It was a hard fought win but a win nevertheless and all credit goes to Hereford for a highly competitive game.

"Our focus now is Swindon, a team we are yet to face and, with any game we play, it cannot be taken lightly.

"The team, both players and coaches, have gone away to regain focus and work to the areas that need to be worked on.

"We are again expecting a tough fixture on the road but are confident in what we need to do to succeed."
